What is Mileafy?

Mileafy is an automatic mileage tracker for iPhone and Android. It detects your drives in the background, records the route, distance and addresses, lets you swipe each drive to Business or Personal, and exports IRS-ready PDF and CSV mileage logs for tax deductions or mileage reimbursement.

How does Mileafy track mileage automatically?

Mileafy uses your phone's motion sensors and GPS to notice when you start driving, records the trip while you drive, and saves it when you park. You don't press start or stop. You can also start tracking when your phone connects to your car over Bluetooth or CarPlay.

Is Mileafy free?

Mileafy is free to download and start tracking. An optional Premium subscription is available in the app.

Does Mileafy work on Android?

Yes. Mileafy is available on the App Store for iPhone and on Google Play for Android, with the same account, drive history and reports on both.

Are Mileafy mileage logs IRS compliant?

Mileafy reports include the date, miles, start and end address, and business purpose for every drive, plus totals at the IRS standard mileage rate, which is what the IRS asks for in Publication 463. Mileafy is not tax advice; check your situation with a tax professional.

What is the IRS mileage rate for 2026?

The IRS business rate is 72.5 cents per mile for driving from January 1 to June 30, 2026 and 76 cents per mile from July 1, 2026. Mileafy applies the rate in effect on each drive date.

Does Mileafy drain my battery?

Continued use of GPS in the background can decrease battery life. Mileafy is optimized to minimize battery impact by using low-power motion detection while you're not driving.

Can my employer see my personal drives?

No. With Mileafy for Business, you classify each drive as Personal or Work, and only the work drives you submit reach your company. There is no live location tracking.
